Owning a Heritage Property
Owners of heritage properties are custodians of our cultural heritage. They play an important role in conserving the stories of our past and present for future generations. We know of many dedicated owners who, through passion and hard work, have revitalised heritage properties into contemporary homes that both embrace the heritage fabric of the building and provide a functional, contemporary and even high tech living space for the modern family. There are even examples of owners who have taken on a labour of love to restore a near-derelict heritage property to its former glory.
The Heritage Council is working with local and State governments to provide a wide range of grants, incentives, educational programs, heritage advisors to help conserve and celebrate our State's important heritage.
